Dear Passengers,
In order to assist passengers affected by the recent security situation in the Middle East to properly arrange their itineraries and provide relevant passenger service guarantees, China Eastern Airlines has formulated special regulations for tickets of routes involving Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Muscat. The details are as follows:
I. Scope of Application
(I) International, regional, or domestic flight tickets issued by China Eastern Airlines (ticket numbers starting with 781). Each ticket should contain at least one unused flight segment involving arrival, departure, or stopover at Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, or Muscat (including flights of China Eastern Airlines or other airlines), with the flight departure date from March 16, 2026 (inclusive) to May 31, 2026 (inclusive). There is no limit on other unused flight segments of the same ticket.
(II) Date of issue or exchange: before 15:00 (inclusive) on March 10, 2026.
(III) Date of itinerary cancellation
These regulations apply to passengers who are going to cancel their itineraries from February 28, 2026 (inclusive) to the scheduled departure times of their flights. These regulations do not apply to passengers who are going to cancel their itineraries after the scheduled departure times of their flights and who canceled their itineraries before February 27, 2026 (inclusive).
II. Exchange and Cancellation Policy
Tickets that are in the above scope of application and in the validity period can be canceled or exchanged according to the following rules:
(I) Exchange
If you change to a flight departing within 3 days (inclusive) before or after the original flight, you can change it once free of charge. Any further change or a change to a flight departing beyond 3 days (inclusive) before or after the original flight will be handled according to the ticket conditions.
(II) Cancellation
For a ticket in the validity period, you can go to the original ticket purchase channel to apply for an involuntary cancellation for unused flight segments. This cancellation is free of charge. If you apply for a cancellation of a ticket that has been exchanged according to the policy above, it will be handled according to the ticket conditions.
(III) Itinerary change
You can change your itinerary to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, or Muscat according to your needs. If you change to a flight departing within 3 days (inclusive) before or after the original flight, you can change it free of charge, but the difference in the ticket price and tax between the new and old itineraries will be charged. Any further change or a change to a flight departing beyond 3 days (inclusive) before or after the original flight will be handled according to the ticket conditions.
(IV) Endorsement
If you are going to change the carrier, it is recommended that you cancel the original ticket and purchase a new one.
(V) Tickets that do not meet the above scope of application will be cancelled or exchanged according to the original ticket conditions.
Reminders:
1. If you have already completed check-in and seat selection in advance, it is recommended that you go to the original processing channel to cancel the check-in and seat selection first, and then apply for exchanging or canceling the ticket.
2. If you have not yet confirmed your itinerary, please cancel your itinerary before the scheduled departure time of your flight.
