Safety instructions for lithium batteries and dangerous goods

Spare lithium batteries must be carried in carry-on baggage only and must be individually protected so as to prevent short circuits.
Power banks are considered as spare lithium batteries and must be completely switched off in flight.
Lithium ion batteries: the Watt-hour rating must not exceed 100 Wh.
Lithium metal batteries:the lithium metal content must not exceed 2 g.
Each person is limited to a maximum of 15 PED and limited to a maximum of 20 spare batteries.
With operator approval,no more than 2 lithium ion batteries with a watt-hour rating exceeding 100 Wh but not exceeding 160 Wh are permitted in carry-on baggage only for each passenger.
Passengers carrying lithium battery powered wheelchairs shall comply with relevant regulations.
According to the relevant regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, starting from June 28, 2025, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks without 3C marks, with unclear 3C marks, or of recalled models or batches on domestic flights. Relevant recall information can be checked under the “Consumer Product Recalls” section on the official website of the SAMR Defective Product Recall Technical Center.
On-board control requirements for power banks and spare lithium batteries:
(1) Do not charge power banks or spare lithium batteries using any power source (including in-seat power outlets or other aircraft power sources);
(2) Do not use power banks or spare lithium batteries to charge or power other portable electronic devices;
(3) If a power bank or spare lithium battery has a power switch, keep the switch in the off state at all times;
(4) Do not place power banks or spare lithium batteries in overhead bins;
(5) Place power banks and spare lithium batteries in carry‑on baggage stowed under the cabin seat, or in other designated storage locations such as the seat-back pocket.

capacity exceeding 100 ml(g)Passengers are prohibited from carrying or checking in self-heating food, such as self-heating hot pots, self-heating rice meals, or other self-heating meal boxes. Passengers are prohibited from carrying or checking in oxygen cylinders on board. Carbon dioxide, solid (dry ice), in quantities not exceeding 2.5 kg per person when used to pack perishables in checked or carry-on baggage, provided the baggage(package) permits the release of carbon dioxide gas. Each item of checked baggage containing dry ice must be marked by “Dry ice” or “Carbon dioxide, solid” and with the net weight of dry ice or an indication that the net weight is 2.5 kg or less. Please confirm the following to make sure that your checked baggage conforms to the security requirements(If you are unable to confirm any of the following, for your own safety, please proceed through the airport counter and advise the staff of your situation):
1. The baggage to be checked belongs to me.
2. I packed all the items myself. I confirm that no additional items have been put into my baggage after packing.
3. I confirm that I am not carrying any unknown gifts or other items, especially electrical or electronic devices.
