Excess Baggage Fees
Checked baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance shall be known as excess baggage, for which corresponding charges shall apply. Depending on different routes, the excess baggage fee regulations for China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines are as follows:
1. Excess Baggage Fees for Domestic Flights:
(1) Excess rate:
1.5% of the highest published adult fare for a one-way direct flight in Economy Class on the same day shall be charged per kilogram.
(2) Calculation method of excess fees:
Excess baggage fees = (Total weight of checked baggage - Applicable free baggage allowance) × (1.5% of the highest published adult fare for a one-way direct flight in Economy Class)
Note: Excess rates are in RMB, and excess baggage fees are in RMB rounded up to the nearest whole number.
